Why we are different

THE EPIC EDGE crafts unique, unforgettable experiences. From mountains to sea, our private single-load model minimizes wait times and maximizes flexibility, letting us chase the day’s best conditions. Small groups ensure safety, personalization, and value—our guides focus solely on you, adapting to your ideal terrain and helping you master your dream line.

Helicopter rides, sledding, jet skiing, fishing, ATVs, biking, or wine tasting—whatever the adventure, we’re about living in the moment and embracing the thrill. Our guides even snap your trophy shot to immortalize it.

Epic moments, made simple. That’s our edge.

Our Base

Chile with THE EPIC EDGE

Our concept is built on a lifetime of local experience. At THE EPIC EDGE, we’ve spent decades understanding Chile’s wild climate and diverse landscapes to offer one-of-a-kind adventures across all four seasons.

We’re not part of a chain—we chose to base ourselves in Matanzas (Lat. 33°57´41.09” / Long. 71°52´28.65”), on Chile’s coast, where we can access the perfect conditions anytime, anywhere: valleys, mountains, waves, and snow.

Our expert guides know exactly when and where to go, unlocking a playground of possibilities. From here, the Wine Route leads all the way to the Andes.

Wake up and choose your adventure:
Heli-skiing, buggy rides, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, biking, yoga, climbing…

We’re ready. Are you?

Our Team & Your Guides

Matias Vargas Speiser

Matías, 32 years old, is a commercial pilot for both helicopters and airplanes, a landscaper, and an adventurer at heart. He has chosen to live life off the beaten path—chasing the wind, the snow, and the waves.

Raised among windsurfing sails and ski slopes, it didn’t take long for Matías to dive into surfing, cycling, and any activity that brought him closer to nature. His compass always points toward the remote, the unexplored—those places where the connection with the earth feels real and pure.

Now based in Matanzas, Matías has turned his passion for sports and nature into a way of life. He doesn’t just aim to fulfill his own dreams but also to inspire others to chase theirs—proving that life isn’t measured in years, but in experiences.

“Life is a single journey. My mission is to make dreams come true.”
